Funhouse N. America Kick off Concert in Seattle
Richard Marx, with her separated shoulder injury, was unable to perform her acrobatics at our show the night before. She apologized for it right off the bat but her stage performers filled in so we still got some of the effect. The show was visually stunning and full of excitement from the very first note of the concert to the very last. Her voice was perfect through the whole thing. Her interaction with the crowd was awesome, I've seen some great stage performers before. You can tell she has a great personality, and she's all about pleasing the crowd... not just getting up on stage and singing and going home. She played a great mix of her hits and songs off the new album. Plus, she threw in some sweet covers of classic bands like AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, and the best cover of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody I've ever heard. Not only that, but she looks fantastic! Her body is simply rockin these days. The set design was completely stunning! Her costumes were awesome. (Just wait til you see the massive inflatable dancing evil clowns!!!) I can't say enough good things about her and her concert! I hope she comes back to Seattle. I would have paid twice the price to see this show.
The Ting Tings, as the opening act, were really good as well! Kind of a typical rock band performance with little or no stage antics but their sound was amazing. Considering there's only two of them, they were also very personable with the crowd. Even though they had kind of a short set, they are totally worth seeing live. True performers!
